Illinois Medical Marijuana Card – Fast Online Certification | Medical Card Exam™:  Medical Marijuana Laws

    1. Introduction

Illinois has one of the most comprehensive medical cannabis programs in the United States and is also among the states where recreational cannabis is fully legal. Since the passage of the Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Program Act in 2013, patients with a wide range of qualifying conditions have been able to legally access cannabis for medical purposes. The state has also legalized adult-use marijuana, making cannabis widely available—but medical patients still enjoy special benefits, such as lower taxes and higher possession limits.
